Class 5/7 Driver Training Programs
Training Program 1 & 2

Our classic, defensive, driving program catered towards semi confident drivers.

- 10 Hours
Our most popular and highly recommended program, 10 hours of complete defensive, driving program, catered towards new learners, without any previous driving knowledge.

Training Extended Program
- Training Extended Program - 16 Hours

FAQ: What is the Difference between Class 7 & Class 5...
Class 7:
Graduated licensing
Getting your first driver’s licence is exciting! We’re here to help you succeed, however we can.
What you can use class 7 for:
- To drive cars, vans, trucks, motorhomes, construction & utility vehicles (2 axles maximum), and motorhomes (may exceed 2 axles)
- To tow trailers or vehicles up to 4,600kg
- To ride a limited speed motorcycles or an all-terrain vehicle (ATV)
- To ride 3-wheeled vehicles but does not include 3-wheeled motorcycles (trikes) or motorcycle/sidecar combinations
Note that Class 7 has Graduated Licensing restrictions
#1: Get your learner’s licence — your L
You can get your L on or after your 16th birthday.
Here’s how to get your L:
- Get a parent or legal guardian to sign consent if you’re under 19
- Take and pass the knowledge test at an ICBC driver licensing office
- Pass a vision screening test
#2: Get your novice licence — your N
After at least a year of practice, you can take your first road test.
Here’s how to get your N:
- Book, take and pass the Class 7 road test
Class 5:
Get your full licence
Getting your full licence! No more, tests or L and N signs on the back of your car.
You can apply for your full licence after having your N for at least 24 months of safe driving with no prohibitions

- Book, take and pass the Class 5 road test
What you can use class 5 for:

Other reasons for taking the Class 5 road test
The Class 5 road test isn’t just for new drivers in graduated licensing. You might also take it if:
- you’ve moved to B.C. with a licence from certain countries
- your licence has been expired for more than three years, or
- you’re taking a driver re-exam requested by the Office of the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles.
